And this doesn’t apply to all of you. I know there are some amazing nurses out there! Please teach the bitches how it’s done!
I gave 3 stars because the pediatric floor is awesome. The doctors and nurses in that department are wonderful.
My husband went to the ER experiencing severe shoulder pain. He was informed that he needed an orthopedic doctor for a cortisone injection. Yet there was no such doctor on call. A large hospital such as this one should ALWAYS have an orthopedic doctor on call. He was admitted overnight for observation and to have tests run the next day but told they were waiting for a room. When finally taken to a room hours later, it was on the same floor as the ER but looked partially vacant and some areas dark. They were not rooms but looked like an extension of the ER. The hospital appears clean but once you look closer there is dirt on the floors around the wall perimeters. This includes bathrooms as well. There was also no or little paper towels available. The hallways in the ER were cluttered and disheveled. Housekeeping staff was no where to be found. I overheard one nurse tell another that she was responsible for cleaning the room and making the bed after a patient left. This is unheard of and should be unlawful. We requested an administrator and she came but couldn't offer much help. It's obvious that the facility is understaffed and the staff provided, overworked and doing jobs way beyond their job duties. There were many violations. If any workers are unionized, they should report this place. This was our first experience with this hospital and if it's up to us, will be our last. We'd rather drive further away to get better service.
Shout out to the staff in the ICU. My dad was brought in for trauma and received excellent service. He was well taken care of by professionals that were clearly passionate about their careers. Nurse Melanie had a bright and positive attitude that helped me through this uncertain and fearful time. Brian, the financial advocate, was very knowledgable, personable, and efficient in helping my dad get the insurance he needed. I'm so grateful to the team here at Orange Regional Medical Center.
RUDE ASS NURSES! If you’re going to talk about your patients, make sure people can’t hear you! How do some of them get their license! Bed side manors! Ever heard of that!!
The nurses in the emergency room are some of the least caring medical providers I have ever met. They talk about patients while other patients can overhear. Also considering the area the hospital is located they should not be as judgmental as they are. Woe to the person who has a drug/alcohol problem, the nurses treat them as subhuman.
This hospital has no concern for the inconvenience of their patients and their families. It starts with the pre-surgical check in the biggest concern is the money once they have the money secured then your a piece of garbage to them. They have 4-5 different people asking the same questions and they put it in the computer all wrong my wife had 1 operation on her hand at the end of the day she had 3, and it goes from there. Absolutely no one comes to tell you how much longer you'll be waiting for your procedure no communication at all the doctors are good but the rest your on your own. It's a shame that we pay for this type of service what ever happened to treating people with some respect. Should be a minus 1 star
